One Front Door launches online next week (24 March).
One Front Door, a single-entry point for jobseekers and organisations looking to access recruitment support and opportunities, launches online next week (24 March).
Building on the existing Bristol City Council Ways2Work recruitment network, this new one-stop-shop offers a multi-agency approach to helping individuals, employers and providers access employment opportunities.
Councillor Anna Keen, cabinet lead for education and skills said; “I am really pleased that we can offer this service to jobseekers and our local businesses and organisations as we begin to look towards our economic recovery in Bristol.
“One Front Door is a great initiative which makes finding the right place to start looking for a new career, a job opportunity or finding the right candidate for your job vacancy straightforward, and is underlined by a strong commitment to increasing diversity in our workforce.”
The service will provide support and guidance to help participants take positive steps towards developing skills and enhancing their careers, and can help match jobseekers to the right jobs, as well as supporting organisations to recruit their ideal candidates.
Anyone living in Bristol is eligible to access the service via phone, email, or an online contact form found here: One Front Door – Ways2Work
The free, online event includes an overview of what the service offers including its job fairs and community pop up events, training opportunities and guest speakers.
Jane Taylor, head of service for employment, skills and learning, said: “This event is open to anyone who would like to find out more about what One Front Door can offer them, and will include information on how to refer to us and a Q&A session.
“We are also looking to connect with Bristol’s hard to reach communities and will be working with employers who are committed to diversifying their workforce.”
