Boost Your Future
Boost Your Future is a targeted programme to support young people who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET. The project is being managed by the Bristol Post 16 Team.
Delivered over 6 or 12 weeks, the programme runs three days a week. Each cohort will have between 8-10 young people and will help participants explore future pathways through:
- Practical activities
- One-to-one support
- Real-world and life experiences e.g. work tasters
- Progression into positive destinations
Programme Aims
- Reduce NEET risk through individual support
- Build confidence, resilience, and employability
- Explore post-16 options (e.g. apprenticeships, vocational routes)
- Empower young people to overcome barriers and set goals
Delivery Model
Interactive and engaging workshops with one to one support across six core modules:
- Engagement & Motivation
- Career Planning & Guidance
- Practical Skills for Employment & Learning
- Wellbeing & Personal Development
- Industry Taster Days & Work Experience
- Project Based Learning & Final Presentations
Participants on both programmes will gain AQA awards, with the 12-week programme offering the opportunity to complete Functional Skills in Maths and/or English.
