Returning to Work: Michelle’s WorkWell Story
Michelle was off sick with work-related stress linked to a prolonged grievance process, worsened by Borderline Personality Disorder and menopause symptoms.
Delays and lack of agreed workplace adjustments prevented her return, significantly affecting her mental health, wellbeing, and home life over several months.
WorkWell provided a psychologically safe space, offering guidance, information, and support to explore options.
Michelle felt heard and empowered, enabling her to navigate challenges with her employer and progress a structured, supported plan for returning to work.
Now, Michelle has successfully returned to work on a phased basis with reasonable adjustments in place. Her return is progressing well, with improved wellbeing, stable routines, and positive impacts on her health, relationships, and overall work–life balance.
Michelle spoke highly of the support she received from her Work & Health Coach:
“Feeling that I was supported was a positive impact on my wellbeing… Without her guidance, I do not feel that I would have been back in work, completing a sustainable return.”
