A visit to Hinkley Point
Councillor Claire Hiscott, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, attended a unique tour of Hinkley Point last week. With the expected number of job opportunities at 25,000, it was an excellent opportunity for Councillor Hiscott to meet with the team at EDF and experience the site first hand.
The nuclear power plant, being built on the Somerset coast, has already created multiple and varied training and job opportunities. This visit enabled Councillor Hiscott, and other members of Bristol City Council and boomsatsuma staff, to receive information about the work that has already happened, and to find out what is planned for the future.
A huge thank you to the team at EDF for arranging the visit!
