Training: Funded Barista Course with Clarion and Wogan Coffee
Clarion Futures are working in partnership with Wogan Coffee to deliver an Introduction to Barista Training Course for people in the Bristol area. They will obtain a full introduction to this form of work as well as learning how to use the appropriate coffee making machines as well as securing additional qualifications to support their progression in to this sector of work. Upon completion I will work with each of the learners to help them to source and secure paid work.
The additional qualifications on offer are:
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering
- Food Allergy Awareness
- Manual Handling in the Workplace
- COSHH in a Food Environment
- Customer Service
- Health, Safety & Welfare
We will require each prospective attendee to complete 3 of the above online courses, so learners will need to be IT literate and have access to a digital device. Online courses to be complete prior to attendance to the Barista courses, but are the courses are short and can each can be completed in under an hour.
We can also offer a CV review and assist with Interview preparation, as well as advice on how to manage their Universal Credit claim when moving forward into work and I can offer each person a Better Off In Work Calculation if they require one.
Programme Duration – 1 Half day session
We will then continue to work with the individual when they start work under our In Work Support process to ensure that the work meets their needs.
