YOUNG PARENTS

Welcome to the Bristol Young Parents webpage. This page is to an introduction to the service that we provide to young parents in Bristol.

We are part of the Young Careers and Pathways Team within Bristol City Council, and we support young parents to navigate the barriers faced while trying to access education, employment, or training.

We can work with you to find courses, suitable childcare, and access funding. We can also help by signposting you to relevant services that can support you with other issues you may have too, such as claiming benefits, housing, and anything else that you feel you may need support with and is affecting your ability to access education and employment.

Care to Learn

If you are under 19 and want to get back into education, you may qualify for Care to Learn funding which can contribute towards childcare fees whilst you study. If you are older than 19 there are funding options available to you too. So, if you are thinking about your future and wondering how you are going to manage the next step, please get in touch and we can discuss the ways in which we can support you.

If you have any questions or would like some more information about what we can offer, you can contact us by email: youngparents@bristol.gov.uk
