Are you ready to take your first steps into the construction industry?
Weston College are recruiting for their next 6-week Pathway to Construction course!
This course is designed to help you prepare for, and pass, the CSCS Test – which is a key requirement for many construction roles.
As part of the course, which includes 3 weeks of face to face sessions in Bristol, you will cover these topics:
- Health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Identifying risks and hazards in the workplace.
- Best practices for working safely in a construction environment.
Weston College will also help you find an employer to give you 3 weeks of practical experience of working in construction.
Once you’ve completed the course and passed your CSCS Test you will be able to:
- Apply for entry-level roles as a labourer on construction sites (18+ with a Green Card).
- Begin an apprenticeship at 16+ or prepare for further training in trades such as brickwork, carpentry, or scaffolding to advance your career.
There are 15 places available for young people aged 16-18 (up to 24 with an EHCP).
The course is due to start on Monday 28th April 2025.
