National Careers Week 2020!
Last week was a busy week in schools with National Careers Week inspiring students to think about a whole host of careers in different sectors.
Bristol WORKS partner school, Bedminster Down, programmed a whole week of activities from creative, to construction, to digital and more. Wednesday 4th saw WORKS pledge partner, Digital Profile, run a session for students interested in learning about Tech Startups. Hearing from CEO and Founder, the group learnt about what a Startup is and then created their own Digital Profiles to help with their employability.
Pledge partner, Into Film, also offered a Creative Careers session later in the week. Delivered by ScreenSkills, the session focused on the breadth of creative careers and practical advice for getting your foot in the door.
Kingsweston School also programmed a week of careers engagement with Lyndsay Davies, boomsatsuma Creative Projects Manager, running a session on Creative Careers.
The wider WORKS team also attended The National Career Guidance Show to present about how to be creative with careers work and attending Orchard School Bristol for their Careers Fair.
We can’t wait for next year!
