This is a fantastic opportunity to join Bristol City Council as a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative. Be part of a flexible and committed team delivering high quality service standards for the city’s parks and green spaces.

We provide formal parks, nature reserves, play areas and sports facilities we provide a vital free resource to Bristol citizens, important for the good health and wellbeing of every community. We also maintain communal grounds for our social housing sites across the city.

This is a unique role within the organisation which will ensure that the City’s parks are kept clean and well-kept ensuring users can enjoy the spaces.

There are 15 posts available with a contract running until the end of October 2023

There will be weekend working as our parks are used 24/7. This will be on a rota and will involve two weekends a month on average.

We have three depots across the City, and we will endeavour to place you at the easiest depot to minimise your travel time and costs

You will be provided with all uniform and safety equipment and at the end of your contract we often offer casual contracts over the winter months so further opportunities may be available at the end of the fixed term contract.
