The Development Assistant is the linchpin of the Trust’s fundraising function and provides important support to the team, helping the Trust to protect the SS Great Britain and Brunel’s legacy and ensuring as many people as possible enjoying discovering them.
As Development Assistant you will:
- Inspire Members and play a crucial role administering the Trust’s membership schemes. You will offer the best experience to Members, efficiently managing payment processes, membership renewals and thank you letters.
- ‘WOW’ members and supporters with fantastic communication skills and excellent customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries.
- Enhance the Development team through developing robust administration processes and providing administrative support across all income streams.
- Be the champion for our software systems by working with other teams across the Trust to maxmise fundraising opportunities.
- Lead on the communications to supporters bringing your creativity and ideas to inspire and demonstrate the impact of support.
- Deepen supporter relationships through accurately recording all income and activities on the Trust’s booking system and CRM. Maximise the effectiveness of the CRM and keeping records up to date. Training will be provided.
- Amplify the prospecting work of the team by undertaking preliminary research in consultation with members of the team.
- Showcase the work of the Trust through leading event organisation for members and supporters.
- Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Trust and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.
