Jason has learning difficulties and needed help back into work
Jason was referred to We Work for Everyone by his social worker. After 28 years working for his local supermarket, Jason was made redundant. He wanted to get back into work but wanted to find somewhere local that would allow him to care for his partner.
After discussing his skills and work preferences with a dedicated employment navigator, Jason decided to join a Computer Confidence course to develop his IT skills. As a result he able to update his CV which he sent out to potential employers.
Jason had a successful interview with support from his navigator who attended as reasonable adjustment, he was offered the job as a cleaner at his local college. Jason was overjoyed with the result.
“It was really good to get a job close to home. I’m looking forward to working with people again. I also want to get back into shape and walking to work will be good”.
