OTR creative projects for young people
I’m getting in touch to let you know about a couple of projects for young people with spaces currently available. These are creative projects to support mental health. Both are online and open-access for 16-25 year olds. The first is a project for connecting through listening to music. The second is a series of creative workshops (visual art and poetry) to bring a bit of light and warmth to the dark winter months.
Please find details and sign-up links below. If you’re working with any young people who might be interested I’d really appreciate it if you can spread the word. If you have any questions or want more information please give me a shout.
A group for listening to music together — each week there’s a theme and participants choose tracks which the group then listen to together, and talk about if they want to. Think of it like a very personal, interactive and friendly radio station! It’s also a really nice opportunity to meet new people, feel part of a community, and discover new music. You don’t need to know anything about music, just have an interest in listening to songs with other people.
There’s a video where Jacob and Natalie (who run the sessions) chat about what the group is like here; and you can find out more information and sign up link here.

- Winter Warmers
A series of 4 online creative workshops, mainly focusing on visual art and poetry, exploring how creativity can bring a bit of warmth and light to the dark winter months. We’ll send participants art materials in the post and each week we’ll focus on a different creative activity. You don’t need to have any particular skills, just an interest in exploring creativity in a gentle community with other people.
